Condensation, Dampness & Mould Growth
A high proportion of damp problems are caused by condensation, penetrating damp or rising damp.

Damp housing has been one of the basic health concerns since the early origins of the environmental health profession in the 19th Century. It has been, and remains, one of the main determinates of the test of fitness for human habitation. To be healthy a dwelling should be warm, dry, well ventilated with a relative humidity between 40-60%.

Members of the Health and Housing Group have a wealth of housing experience and are qualified to correctly diagnose the cause of dampness and to advise on appropriate remedial works. Correct diagnosis will avoid unnecessary works and the associated costs.

As Environmental Health Consultants we are also qualified to comment on the health effects to occupants and to advise where conditions are a significant hazard or prejudicial to health.
